The Friends of the Lawrence County Public Library assist the library in meeting the information needs of the citizens of Lawrence County, Alabama. The Friends help the library raise funds by holding fundraisers and draw attention to the library by hosting special events such as "Meet the Author." Everyone is invited to join! Membership dues are as follows:

Single $10.00

Family $15.00

Student $5.00

Officers are elected on a yearly bases. The officers for 2004 are:
